Robert Llewellyn just posted oh his twitter account about the ratings for the new episode of red dwarf see below:

I have just heard the figures from Doug Naylor. 2.2 million. Dave’s previous best was 1 million. All time cable best 2.3 mill for Torchwood

With ratings that almost beat the UK cable tv record for viewers this can only be good news for red dwarf and the possibility of more episode!
